OS: XP Pro, Vista Home Basic

Wireless PC to laptop
I just got a new laptop and I already have a PC. Both are connected to the internet as they have wireless cards (my PC has the internet USB something). I would like to share files between my two computers but I can't seem to get it working. Btw, laptop is Vista basic, PC is XP Pro. Your help would be very much appreciated.
