Hey everyone
At the moment i have a pc and a laptop, both running xp pro sp3. Both are connected to a wireless router via 54g wireless. i have activated file sharing for both computers, sharing the c drives of each computer. I can access the other drive over the network and All things work fine until i leave the computers on for a while without accessing each other's drive, then suddenly, i cant access the drive on the other computer! its almost like the drives are shared on the network for a certain time limit. the only way i have found to fix it is to reset both computers and start from scratch (really annoying!!). The windows firewall is on the whole time this is happening, could that have something to do with it? Strange though that i can access the drive on the other pc before this "time limit" when it completely shuts off access. It might sound confusing but please help!! Thanks in advance |

Re: Network Sharing Problem
Hard to say, what are the EXACT symptoms you see after the drives become unavailable?

Re: Network Sharing Problem
And the exact symptoms of the error are? Have you checked the Event Log to see what errors might be logged?
