Questions about using G3 in a rural area...
I recently moved to the sticks. No cable, no dsl.
My options are dial up, satellite, or cellular connection with my laptop. I would like to game online with my ps3 and I know dialup is too slow, satellite has latency issues. Cellular is my only option. The problem is that I am in a dead zone because my house is in a valley. On top of that I live on the very edge of the at&t G3 coverage area. I would like to know if there is anyway to use an outside antenna to achieve a good signal. And then use my laptop to share this signal with my gaming consoles. I've been contemplating putting the G3 mercury on a pole. |

Re: Questions about using G3 in a rural area...
I'd consider a G3 router in a weatherproof enclosure with exposure to allow you to connect. Probably as good as it's going to get. If you get a wireless model, you can connect wirelessly to it and just require power not Ethernet too.
