Connecting two routers + xbox 360
Hi there,
I wondered if the following were possible? I have two routers which I will call Router A and Router B. Router A is a Belkin - N1 Wireless Modem Router which is connected to the internet. Router B is a Netgear - RANGEMAX™ SMART MIMO WIRELESS ROUTER – WPN824 and isn't doing anything at the moment. What I want to do is connect my X-Box 360 to Router B through an ethernet cable and then connect router B to Router A wirelessly (I do not want to spend ~ £50 for a wirless X-Box card). Is this possible? I have tried turning DHCP off on Router B so that Router A will act as a DHCP server for all things connected to B, but I can't seem to get it to work. Any help is greatly appreciated. James |

Nope, that router does not offer wireless bridge capability. Here's a Netgear page on the topic: http://kbserver.netgear.com/inquira/...98#__highlight

Re: Connecting two routers + xbox 360
Thankyou for your reply.
Is there anything else I can do to get my Xbox online (without moving it to the router)? I thought about the following: Connect XBox to my laptop which is connected wirelessly to the internet, would this work (If I enable internet sharing)? James |

Re: Connecting two routers + xbox 360
Forget ICS, and just bridge the two connections on the laptop, it's a much better way to connect through it to a router. If wired connections to the router work with the XBOX, the bridged connection should work as well. ICS introduces another NAT layer, which will complicate issues.
