Router Proxy Problems
I recently purchased a new router as I thought my old Linksys WRT54G Ver 3.1 was dying on me. I am running XP Pro SP3, with Firefox 3.
My problem is I cannot load webpages without putting in my firefox settings the content filter my ISP gives me (if I want to filter my content, but is not necessary to have it work). (my ISP is a local Wireless ISP ) Even with the proxy in place (in both IE7 and Firefox) I cannot connect to the internet update my virus scanner (McAfee) or do Windows updates. This problem just started out of the blue about a month ago. I have had my ISP check their connection and everything is fine. My new ASUS 500gP v2 is doing the same thing. I connect on the WAN side of my router to the internet using DHCP. I have tried another router that works just fine an Netgear Wireless N. (I cannot log into see the setting however) Do I have two bad routers or what? Any ideas? Bobby |

Re: Router Proxy Problems
I'm confused, do you have two routers or three routers? Is one of them working correctly?
Some things you can try here.
Many times these measures will resolve a lot of intermittent issues.
