Event Viewer: A warning that has to do with DHCP?
The event viewer has a warning in it that appeared just after my computer froze. I'm not sure if it has to do with it (it freezes a lot), but I would like help with this.
It is a warning. Its event id is 1003, and the source is dhcp. It says "Your computer was not able to renew its address from the network (from the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 001839067F33. The following error occurred: The operation was canceled by the user. . Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp." From looking around, it seems that it is my network card. I have a Linksys WMP54G wireless network adapter that uses the PCI slot. My router is a Linksys WRT54G. Please help? |

Re: Event Viewer: A warning that has to do with DHCP?
Hard to say, but that error does not cause the computer to freeze, so I'd work on the freezing issue first.
