Tracing internet activity through a router

This may seem like a slightly odd question but I own a network at my Uni flat where I live with 3 other people and I suspect one of them is doing something (lets just say) unlawful. I was wondering if there is any way to check the incoming and outgoing data from a certain IP address through a router and the legality of this.

My Router is a BT Hub and all the network is in my name and paid for by me.

if the router keep logs, just access it though it will not tell which computer is doing it - at least the log on mine dont.

Re: Tracing internet activity through a router

As far as I can tell BT doesn't have logs (could be wrong but I spend about 15 minutes looking). Is there any other way to do it?

Re: Tracing internet activity through a router

You need more than a BT Home Hub for what you want to do.

Re: Tracing internet activity through a router

I have used Backtrack and Metasploit before (done some Pen Testing at Uni), I haven't found any way to do it with them but would that be the sort of program I would need?
