OS: Vista SP1

Vista to Vista limited network connectivity.

Hi, I recently backed up files on a Laptop (32bit Vista ultimate). When trying to transfer the files back via LAN connection to my desktop (64bit Vista Ultimate), I got very slow transfer speeds (200-500 kbps). When looking in network and sharing center, the connection is named "Unidentified network" and does not mention being limited. When I Diagnose problem it says "this computer has limited or no connectivity" This is the same for my Desktop and the laptop. I originally transferred the files through this same setup with no problems. Both computers have Vista SP1.

None of the options Windows Network diagnostics gave to fix it worked. Ethernet drivers are installed on both machines. LAN connection is through a 10/100 Ethernet switch. I've tried several different Ethernet cords for both machines. Both computers connect to the internet through Wireless. I've been looking through various forums for fixs none of which worked for me.
