Network Issue with Vista SP1
I have a dv9000-series laptop from HP, and I installed SP1 last night. After resolving the issues while installing it with Microsoft, I noted that I no longer had a wireless signal to my router. Since they're 10' from one another, this was odd to me. I opened up the Device Manager, and lo and behold, both the wireless and wired network adapters were AWOL, sporting brand new Code 10 Error messages and stating they had both failed to start. Fortunately, the USB ports are working, and I have a 8GB Cruzer with which I can transfer drivers, but I need to know where to get them from, if anyone has suggestions.
Tried already, they do not work: hp.com intel.com microsoft.com HP makes the computer, no joy on their latest drivers Intel makes both the wired and wireless adapters, no joy there, either. Microsoft... yeah, they made the system, but they don't have drivers for my adapters. It seems that there are a few people with HPs out there having this issue. I'll be contacting HP tonight after work to see if they can give me specific help, but I'm really looking for 'what you have done and it works' sort of replies. |

Check it out, there are plenty of websites where you can pick up vista drivers for oem computers. If that doesnt work, you can always resort to the actual manufacturer of the cards themselves to find the drivers for vista sp1. Thanks
