Gidday,
I have 4 desktops and 2 laptops (All Win XP except 1 laptop on Vista) and the lady who owns the router wants to enable the network to WEP or WPA to secure the network. I believe that the router (Netgear) needs to be accessed with a browser and the encrption box ticked appropriately, plus each individual box/laptop. does this ring true, or do I have to start from scratch and do a complete new network setup? |

Re: Enabling WPA on existing wireless network?
That's right. You access the configuration page of the router via your Internet Explorer. Then yes you tick the encryption box, and then set up the key for either WEP, WPA, or whatever.
You need to enter the same key into each computer when it tries to access the router. |
