Network Print Issue in Vista

My issue is I cannot print wirelessly from my laptop to my IBM Network 17 printer. The hardware info is as follows:

Acer 5610-4610 Dual core(1.87Ghz 32bit) processor w/4G-Ram running Vista Home Prem.S.P.1
IBM Network 17 w/Ethernet card 10base-t 10base-2 with 66M-Ram.
I have a westell combo modem router. The routers default IP address is....I'm not sure I should publish this address so I'll err on the side of caution.
I also have a trendnet wireless router. If I go to the embedded page for the trendnet & run the ping test for the IP Address of the printer I get a successful ping.
I have two configurations for the printer, 1 for wired usb printing(i use a parallel to usb converter) and another for the wireless config. I have the IP address for Ethernet set to 192.168.2.104 in the wireless config. which is the same as the printer.
I also have a "network interface Config for Ethernet" page which is too lengthy to list here and also have the IBM network 17 config. page.
I've tried everything I know & have been everywhere in an attempt to remedy this problem to no avail. I also dissabled my firewall(vistas) and my virus software.
I also tried to connect directly to the Ethernet cable but was unable to print. The only option that works is the usb. I need help with this issue & hope there's someone here that can help.
I just pinged the IP address in the command prompt & this is what I got:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6001]

I'm thinking this is a Good Thing.......but where do I go from here.

Re: Network Print Issue in Vista

There is no "wireless" configuration for printing, any network printing would be configured the same.

Doesn't the IBM come with a connection wizard to help you get it connected?

No, I looked again & all I have is the driver. I'll do another internet search and see what turns up.

Its the IBM 4317.

I did look for a wizard & none was found. I "can" ping the printer from my laptop.

I ran the vista add a printer wizard & went through that whole process but still cannot print wirerless.

Re: Network Print Issue in Vista

Don't have any ideas at this time. FWIW, I never did get full functionality out of my HP wireless printer, it's a good thing that I really planned on connecting it hardwired.
