Ethernet to USB no internet
Hi. I'm currently using a Motorola SURFboard modem through Time Warner Road Runner. It was set up using the Ethernet port on an older computer. Well I got a new computer and hooked it up through the Ethernet and it still works. Well I've always wanted to free up the Ethernet spot for my xbox and use the USB for the computer(i had it like that before on an older modem). So I put in the disc to install the USB Driver, all that fun stuff worked. I power cycled everything and plugged everything back in and turned everything back on, well I had to make a new connection using the Motorola Modem (my last connection said something like Real talk Ethernet blah blah) it connects, but then searches and searches and eventually says "limited or no connectivity" can anyone please assist me?

Re: Ethernet to USB no internet
You most likely can't use both of the connections at the same time, since your ISP only gives you a single public IP address.
Your solution here is a broadband router.
