[SOLVED] Another "connected to router, but cannot browse" post
Very first post...
and it looks like many other people have the same problem as me. The signal of the connection to the router is excellent, but when I open internet explorer, the window "freezes" and shows it trying to connect to google, my homepage. I also tried AOL Instant Messager, Yahoo! Messager... still cannot connect. I'm on Windows XP with service pack 2 using a NETGEAR WPN824 router and a NETGEAR WPN111 wireless adapter. Any ideas?

Re: Another "connected to router, but cannot browse" post
This obviously isn't a networking issue, since you have a good connection to the Internet.
Top suspect would be a firewall, have you disabled ALL firewalls as a test?
