Settingup a Home Network

I have a Printer (HP Photosmart 8450) PC, two laptop, an external hard drive, and a playstation 3. The router has an inbuilt modem from Time Warner and the PS3 is directly connected to the router. Is it possible to do the following and how?
  • Share the printer for all the PC and laptops (The PC has Windows Vista and Laptops are XP...The PC and Laptops are connected to the Router wirelessly)
  • Share files and folders so I don't have to save the same file on all computers. Maybe use the hard drive as a backup where I can store all my files than on any of the PCs. That way I have a central location for all files. Like a server.
