I'm really not sure this is in the right place, if it isn't can a mod move it?
Anyway on to my problem, I have a wireless connection from my modem/router (THOMSON ST585v6sl) to my pc (Windows XP Service Pack 3) and then a wired connection from pc to Xbox 360 (Ethernet Crossover Cable) and my Xbox 360 refuses to reliably connect to Xbox Live. It does connect, when it feels like it, an example would be: earlier today i turned my Xbox 360 on and it signed straight into Live no problem, i played for a bit and turned it off. A matter of 2 hours later i turned it back on and it wouldnt connect, having changed no settings, and not even turned my computer off!! I really don't get it, and its been doing this for a few days now, it even once reported a "Strict NAT" but i sorted that opening some ports on my router and it was fine..until i turned it off and on again hours later and it wouldn't connect. I'm running out of ideas and patience, there has to be a way to get it to connect reliably as opposed to this crap ![]() So i want to know what im doing wrong! And wiring the router in is not a way to solve this, its too far away for me to do so ![]() P.s. Thank you for any help!

Re: Wireless-PC-ICS-Wire-Xbox 360-Problems
Try bridging the connection to the XBOX and not using ICS.

Re: Wireless-PC-ICS-Wire-Xbox 360-Problems
Wow, thank you very much! I tried bridging before - and didn't read the error message properly, as i was only selecting one connection at a time (you need to select both..yeah, pretty obvious lol). Thanks alot for that! Now i can happily get on with my online gaming again :)
