Intel-pro connects at 802.11G instead of N
I have a T61 running Windows XP-SP3 with a 4965AGN network card installed. When Windows manages the network card I can connect with my Dlink 655 wireless at 130 mbs running 'N' mode. I installed the Intel-proset wireless manager - and when using it, it will only connect at 54 mbs in 'G' mode. I went into the router and turned off 'G' mode, so only 'N' was available, and then am not able to connect at all.
Any idea why Windows will run at highest level, and the Intel Proset wont? All software is at latest level, just installed the proset package yesterday. Thanks for any help. |

Well, since you get "n" mode with WZC and not with the Intel client, I'd say there's something amiss with that client.
