Wireless connection working but webpages not loading
I am having problems with one of my computers accessing the internet. The computer shows a connection to the wireless network but anytime I try to load a web page it will not load. I don't think the problem is with my router because there are 2 other laptops and 2 desktops that are wirelessly connected to the router and 1 computer that is hardwired. What could be the problem?

Re: Wireless connection working but webpages not loading
Please supply the following info, exact make and models of the equipment please.
What country are you located in. Name of your ISP (Internet Service Provider). What is the expected Upstream/Downstream speed for your ISP Connection? Make and exact model of the broadband modem. Make and exact model and hardware version of the router (if a separate unit). Model numbers can usually be obtained from the label on the device. Connection type, wired or wireless. If wireless, encryption used, (none, WEP, WPA, or WPA2) Make and model of your computer. Version and patch level of Windows on all affected machines, i.e. XP-Home (or XP-Pro), SP1-SP2, Vista, etc. The Internet Browser in use, IE, Firefox, Opera, etc. Please give an exact description of your problem symptoms, including the exact text of any error messages. If you're using a wireless connection, have you tried a direct connection with a cable to see if that changes the symptoms? Have you disabled all encryption on the router to see if you can connect that way? If there are other computers on the same network, are they experiencing the same issue, or do they function normally? On any affected computer, I'd also like to see this: Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt: Type the following commands: PING 206.190.60.37 PING yahoo.com NBTSTAT -n IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Re: Wireless connection working but webpages not loading
I am in the USA
Comcast is my ISP My modem is a Motorola SB5100 Surfboard My Router is a Linksys WRT54G V5 Wireless WEP is used The problem computer is a Sony Vaio PCG-V505EX XP Home I beleive it is sp 2 but I am not sure because I just got this computer from a friend IE but Netscape is also on the comptuer ( and doesnt work) The problem is that when I try to open a webpage a box pops up that says "web page unavailable while offline to view this page click connect" and then it has to boxes connect and stay offline. However the computer shows that their is a connection to the wireless network. When I connect to the router by wire it does load webpages. I have not disabled the encryption on the router. There are 4 other wireless computers and 1 wired computer on the network and they all work fine. Here are the results of the test: Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. Re: Wireless connection working but webpages not loading
Well, for the wireless connection, you have DHCP disabled. Unless you have an unusual situation, that's most likely incorrect. Here's now to enable it.
Select Start > Settings > Network Connections.
Restart the computer. Please post another IPCONFIG /ALL after you do this.

Re: Wireless connection working but webpages not loading
I changed those settings while talking to a tech support guy from linksys who was unable to solve the problem. I changed them back to the way you said and this is the result of the ipconfig/all:
