Belkin + D-Link Router Problem

Hi I use a Belkin G+ router that i didnt realise required a modem.. I brought a D-Link 504T which i wish I hadnt. I am disconected regulary but now i have no internet at all :O I unplugged the router and decided to try the modem on its on and no avail. Therefore im presuming its the modem? I checked the settings and im sure they are all correct. The modem has been flashed to the V.2 firmware and was workin okish up til now. Would like to get the internet up and running. It doesnt not work LAN or WLAN. Also my Vista PC says local only on the icon. Thanks for any help

If you can't get it working with just the modem, I'd be considering a different modem.
