OS: Windows XP Pro
|
Hi,
I have a very strange problem with my desktop computer, here are the details for you: I have two computers with Broadband internet connection which has a following configuration in my network card : OS: Windows XP Pro ip adddress: 10.10.98.59 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 gateway: 10.10.98.1 (dns servers 1 and 2 are also configured but there is no need to specify that here...) So the problem is, I can ping other computers on the same networks but cannot ping the gateway. In other words, If I ping "10.10.98.206" from my PC then I can get the reply but if I ping the gateway "10.10.98.1" then I get "Request timed out" error. THE STRANGE THING IS, If I connect different computer to the same cable I can get the reply from the gateway. I also changed my lancard but the problem is still there, please help |
