Help please Laptop & PC networking via wireless router
Hi, I have a laptop and a wireless router setup at present. I also have an old desktop pc, if i could connect it via my wireless router to my laptop then i could transfer and store files that i download with my laptop to the pc - i would put a large hard drive in the pc to take the files. Is this possible to do? It would be cheaper than buying a usb external hard drive.

Re: Help please Laptop & PC networking via wireless router
Your wireless router should have a 4 port ethernet switch on the back of it. Plug your desktop into one of these ports. If you assign both computers to the same workgroup, you can create a shared folder on your desktop that you can move files to.
Let us know if you need any help with this process. Matt |
