Westell 6100 DSL router/modem

I have Verizon as my ISP. I know I can access 192.168.1.1 for adjustments. The Westell does not allow port 119 to come through for NNTP connections (like Netmeeting.) Is there a way to adjust in the software so I can get port 119 opened.??? Thanks. (Not an expert, obviously.)

Re: Westell 6100 DSL router/modem

There are several models of the Westell 6100. Pick the exact model from this list, pick Netmeeting from the next list, and follow the tutorial: http://www.portforward.com/english/r...outerindex.htm

Re: Westell 6100 DSL router/modem

I'm afraid all the port forwarding info is beyond my abilities. Page after page of changes
on the Westell 6100... Guess I'll have to call 'Geek Squad'.. :) I barely got by page one, with the logon as 'admin' password: 'admin'..!!!
