Cisco mesh networking - end client port/filtering
Hello all, my first post on the tech support forum!
We have a Cisco 4400 controller controlling some mesh 15xx and 124x series access points (lwapp on 15xx and 124x). All access points are found and reachable by the 4400 and are accepting wireless clients. The 124x access points are also acting as Bridges to a 4 port switch. We have two IP based devices connected to the 4 port switch. We are able to consistently ping the two IP based devices from the switch but can’t hit their web or telnet interface. When we plug directly into the 4 port switch with a laptop, we pull a DHCP address from the server, confirming uplink but can hit nothing web based on the back end, including the controller, Internet Explorer or shared network drives. We have replaced the 124x mesh AP, the 4 port switch and the two IP based devices with identical results. There is no port blocking or filtering setup on the 4400. Thoughts, ideas, comments? We are thinking the main switch/network connected to the 4400 may have some port blocking or filtering, have not jumped into that yet. I have the 4400 controller cfg file (saved as .txt) attached. |

Re: Cisco mesh networking - end client port/filtering
Sorry but I'm not to good with the Lwapp Cisco stuff or the 4400 controllers. I have worked with them but only lightly. Can you tell me a bit more about the IP setup involved here so I can clarify in my head where the issue is occurring? Pwerhaps a diagram would be helpful if you have a simple one (MS paint is useful for those 'quick' diagrams). When you say "backend", where are you talking about? The servers on the 4 port switch? or servers in the controllers space? I have a contact who has a 4400 whom I can ask a few questions of if I get enough detail to pinpoint the question to ask.
Cheers Wiz |
