I have a netgear wpn824 v2 wireless router and i have centurytel dsl high speed internet. I have 1 desktop computer (emachines) and 2 notebook computers. The desktop is connected with a ethernet cable and 1 laptop(hp pavilion) is connected wirelessly. Though the other laptop(hp pavilion tablet) supposedly is supposed to be wireless but it will not connect. All of our computers are brand new with windows vista home premium. I tryed setting up a static ip address and it still would not connect i have checked almost everything from centurytel dsl to netgear firewalls and all. The laptop will connect to any other wireless network but just not mine. I recently called a support technician at the store i bought it from and they did everything they could (static ip...) so they said they would have to send a technician out but it is to expensive. So PLEASE HELP

Re: My laptop will not connect wirelessly.
and welcome to the ForumWhat security is on the Netgear router? . . (WEP . . WPA . . ??) Have you tried disabling the security and then trying to connect? Are you using WZC or the HP wireless management app?
