Cannot Ping router

I am using a Billion Bipac5200s router connected to a Linksys WRT54G connected to a Windows XP SP2 desktop and serving two other laptops.

Everything is configured through my browser, my desktop is manually assigned 192.168.1.5 and the laptops are dynamically assigned somewhere between 192.168.1.101 to 255.

My Bipac's default IP address is 192.168.1.254 and the Linksys is 192.168.1.1. and I hadn't reconfigured since it was working okay.

Last morning I find that the Bipac router has disappeared off the system and I can't reach the Internet though the wireless is there and can be reached from either laptop or desktop.

Cannot ping 192.168.1.254 - request timed out
Tried resetting Bipac to default and still cannot ping 192.168.1.254
switched to direct (removing Linksys) and running the Bipac 5200s which I have done before. still not getting a ping.

Tried automatically obtaining ip address and getting a limited or no connectivity error with the Bipac registered as 169.254.x.x and no network address assigned to computer

Similar problem when i try to configure to laptop

What do I do?

Re: Cannot Ping router

Sounds like the Bipac5200S went south.
