wireless internet problem
Hi
we got two computers a laptop that is connected to the router with a "blue" cable that is working great. The second computer is the problem, it cant connect to the wireless internet, i have the N1 wireless usb adapter "F5D8051" connected to my computer and the N wireless router "F5D8233-4V3" to our adsl modem. when i have the belkin wireless networking utility program running i see my wireless internet and press connect. I type in the password for it and after that it either says that i have no connection at all or sometimes i have internet for about 5min and then its just stop working, but the program shows that im still connected. My computer is running: Windows xp professional Version 2002 SP2 I open the cmd and typed ipconfig/all it says: ip routing enabled: no wins proxy enabled: no media state: media disconnected Description:N1 wireless usb network adapter Physical address:00-17-3f-3d-8e-f3 what do i do? |

Re: wireless internet problem
One thing you can do is to click on start and then click on run. Then type in "cmd" and the command prompt will show up.
Then type in "ipconfig/release" and then after this process is done, type in "ipconfig/renew". Close the command prompt afterwards and see if you are able to access the internet wirelessly. If not then try to un-install the usb adapter drivers, plug in the usb adapter to another usb slot, reboot the computer and re-install the drivers again or go to the manufacturer's website and download an updated driver. See if this works out for you too. |

Re: wireless internet problem
Check out the Belkin UK support site; they have a pre-release of firmware version 3.01.18.
This may solve your problems and any others that crop up afterwards.
