Backgrounds Over Networks
Hey Everyone,
This is both a network question but also a question involving computer settings... anyway here goes. I was wondering how, exactly, settings such as computer desktop backgrounds can be set to all computers on a network. I have tried but am not sure what to actually do to make it the default on all computers. I know this can be done as it is done in schools, where all the computer backgrounds can be changed on demand (by the administrator i'm guessing). All info you have would be great, i've done a small amount of searching but cant really find anything and am not really sure what to search Thanks heaps ~Tronny. |

Re: Backgrounds Over Networks
Hi there.. its been a while since i done this and im not near a domain at the moment, but this is what i can remember....
Logon to your Domain Controller. Go to "Group Policy Management" Create and link a group policy to the domain, give it a name. Edit the group policy. Then go to (User Configuration/Desktop/Active Desktop) and select ENABLE ACTIVE DESKTOP & ACTIVE DESKTOP WALLPAPER. Edit the wallpaper to the one you want, then apply the group policy. Good Luck
