Bridging 2 routers
Well, I just purchased a XBOX 360 and I need to be able to get it online for multiplayer.
I am wondering if I can use this old BT wireless modem router (which the internet is dead on it) to connect to our Belkin wireless router as a bridged connection if its possible. If I cant, I am going to have to move the thread to Gaming and see if I can bridge the XBOX to use my wireless card in the PC as the NIC is onboard and not being used. Cheers Chris |

Re: Bridging 2 routers
You can simply bridge the wired and wireless NIC's in the PC to connect. This will allow you to have what will look like a direct connection to the router and get a different IP address for the XBOX. However, you can't use that BT as a wireless bridge, they operate in infrastructure mode only.

Re: Bridging 2 routers
So, what you are saying is that if I plug the Xbox into the rear of the PC, I can bridge them connections (LAN and the Wireless card) to allow the xbox to communicate with the router.
I believe this is similar to what VMware does. |
