Wireless LAN setup not working -- DNS issues? Local only?
Please refer to the screenshot link below:
http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...22/problem.jpg I cannot seem to get access to the internet. I have tried everything from disabling encryption on my DI-624 wireless router (connected to a Surfboard SB4100 cable modem) to changing channels, SSID names, the whole bit. This setup has worked once before. I connect everything to my Windows Vista (64-bit) machine. The setup is: -Cable modem -Hooked up to the cable modem is a wireless router via ethernet (modem <--> router) -Then, because I know the cable modem does not have driver support on Windows Vista 64-bit, I also hook up the Vista-based computer to the wireless router via ethernet to one of the 4 LAN ports. -From there I connect wirelessly, not on the wired network It's a very unorthodox setup, but it has worked before. I recently left for school and when I came back to do the same setup it did not work. Any ideas? |
