[SOLVED] Win 2000, no new connection wizard

Need help with connecting from lan or dial-up in win 2000, every time i try to make a new connection i get icwconn1.exe has generated errors and needs to close. There was 3 connections but there gone now. Heres hijak log. any help would be great thanx

Sounds like corruption more than malware.

Try using SFC to repair any corrupt/missing files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/222471

iv ran a sfc /scannow already. It asked for the 2000 disk and when it finished i got no messages. i dont know if thats normal.

it had a program installed called onspeed, which didnt uninstall properly and i ran a program called dial a fix to try to fix the network prob.

Tried removing and reinstalling network services in windows components and recieved an error on installing, although it installed anyway. This is giving me a tuma

getting error 771 when tring to create new connection through IE.

I'm not sure what to suggest here, other than a fresh installation. I don't know what could have gotten corrupted...

well thanks for the advice.

I think its the telephony service thats corrupt, found no info on the web on how to uninstall reinstall or repair.

i'll just have to try a repair install.
