network/internet hicups

Once about every minute i lose my connection for about 2 seconds then it comes right back again. I play online games so this short downtime usually results in my death. Here is a screen shot of my network monitor: http://www.flickr.com/photos/26348727@N02/2471801045/

I have updated the firmware in my router from v8.00.2 to v8.00.5 which did not work.

Has anyone seen this b4, do you know a fix for it?

Specs:
Vista Ultimate
2g ram
geforce 8800 gts
linksys wireless g usb adapter
linksys wrt 54g wireless router

Some things you can try here.

For wireless connections, change the channel on the router, I like channels 1, 6, and 11 in the US.
Update the firmware to the latest version available on the manufacturer's site.
Reset the router to factory defaults and reconfigure.

Many times these measures will resolve a lot of intermittent issues.
