Network card won't connect
Hey I have recently come been having a problem with my laptop being unable to connect to our network. It fails at getting a network address. I first noticed this problem not long after I accidentally clicked on a public unsecured access point whilst in the city recently.
Also on a side note to see if this helps. When I load windows with either the wireless card or the wired LAN card enabled windows takes a very long time to load. I don't have a wireless access point currently so I can't check if the wireless card is able to connect. My system is the following: Toshiba Tecra A2 Windows XP pro sp2 Intel Celeron M 1.4ghz 512mb of ram Intel Extreme Graphics 2 mobile 80gb HDD Intel PRO/100 VE network card Intel PRO/wireless 2200BG Network card If there's anything else you need feel free to ask. I have repaired many computers for friends and friends of friends but I don't have much experience with networking. Hope we can work together to fix this little issue. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Network card won't connect
Ok I did as told. To get step one to work I had to do step two first then reset then try step one again o.o I then did step 2 again... wish I knew what it was I did lol
So anyway I now have connection back. Windows is still taking a very long time to load though. But it is at least explorer.exe is loading fully now unlike what it was doing and all my startup programs are running. Perhaps this is a task for another forum topic? |
