Is my network bizarre? problems seeing other devices

Hi,

I've had a look around, but can't seem to find my exact problem so here goes:

I have a media server hardwired to my wireless router, which supports 2 Xbox media centers, and another PC. All 3 have internet connections, can see each other and the server, and run fine using ICS. The server has onboard ethernet which for the gateway IP, and 3 other nics bridged for the xbox's and PC. that all works great and has done since day one.

My problem is that my 2 other machines, both laptops with on board wifi, can only see the server and nothing beyond it. File sharing is enabled. (XP networking wizard did the initial setup on everything)

these are the IP's

Wireless router : 192.168.0.100
Server IP: 192.168.0.2 DHCP (always on)
Server ICS is standard :192.168.0.1
Xbox 1 : 192.168.0.5 static
xbox 2 : 192.168.0.6 static
PC: 192.168.0.10 DHCP (always on)

Laptops are DHCP and pick up IP's in the same range.

I'd like to use the 1 of the laptops for configuring everything (new builds on the xbox's via ftp, that sort of thing) as the server is tucked away in a dark corner, and I use logmein to manage anything I might need to do on there. I'm planning to put 2003 on the server at some point and use remote desktop instead. I have some media on the laptops, but the xbox's cant see them either. It seems that the server is the problem, but I just can't seem to tie it down.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

Pete

Re: Is my network bizarre? problems seeing other devices

Let's pick one server and one laptop and work on the problem that way.

For each of these two machines, let's see this.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following commands, one at a time, followed by the Enter key:

NBTSTAT -n

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
