Are these settings right?
I'm having trouble with my wireless network, these are my router settings-
« SpeedGuide.net TCP Analyzer Results » Tested on: 04.30.2008 01:43 IP address: 70.64.xxx.xxx TCP options string: 020405b401010402 MSS: 1460 MTU: 1500 TCP Window: 17520 (multiple of MSS) RWIN Scaling: 0 Unscaled RWIN : 17520 Reccomended RWINs: 64240, 128480, 256960, 513920 BDP limit (200ms): 701kbps (88KBytes/s) BDP limit (500ms): 280kbps (35KBytes/s) MTU Discovery: ON TTL: 114 Timestamps: OFF SACKs: ON IP ToS: 00000000 (0) I'm getting low download speeds and in fact the max that I have seen is ~280kbps. So i'm thinking that the red highlighted part is the problem, how can i switch to the other one or disable the second one? I think its something to do with dual WAN? My router is a Linksys WRT54GX2. Appreciate any help! |

Re: Are these settings right?
Reset the router to factory defaults and leave the settings alone. I've never seen the need to tinker with these settings in a router. The settings you've posted are for the TCP/IP stack in Windows, not the router. Did you try the recommended settings from TCP Analyzer on the machine in question?
