Video IP Server

setting up and an ip video server so i can run 4 external cams over the internet!

im using an an ip video server :

conected directly to my camera via BNC connectors. and ethernet connected to my router (BT Business HUB)

at the moment i am only using 1 cam i can get the cam to work on my local IP fine. But i cant get them to work on my wan. I have port forward the necessary ports and yet i still i get nothing. Should the IP video server be viewable on the WAN??

my ip video server address is http://220.135.169.136/ and as you can see it all chinese golbe de gouk ? any help would be appreciated

I think I'd start by resetting it to factory defaults and see if you can get the prompts in English.

Well, I'm not sure how much help I can be, I struggle in English, and Chinese without the proper language installed is pure gibberish. Not even my Chinese friends can read that!

forgetting the chinese stuff then, basically all i need to know is:

Camera > ip video server > LAN > WAN

just the last part hoow do i do it? or rather how would you go about it

Well, basically you forward the proper ports to the IP address of the camera controller. However, lacking any useful information on that unit, that's about as specific as I can get. Generic port forwarding instructions for most routers are available at www.portforward.com

Now without any information. I have no idea what ports your unit uses...

it uses port 80

Are you sure the ISP doesn't block port 80? It's very common for that port to be blocked for residential broadband accounts.
