coax to d-link pigtail

I have a d-link router, and I need a pigtail that can convert that external antenna to a coax cable. I hear coax alot in forums and it seems that everyone is talking something different. When I think coax I think of the cable that a tv gets its signal from. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to use the proper type cable to connect an antenna to the router. Also, you don't want much cable between the router and the antenna, or the losses in the cable will eat all the signal.

I understand I need a specific type of connector. Im just no good with identifying them. I know all d-link routers use the same external antenna and i can find that, but i dont know what the coax cable connector is called

Most standard WiFi antennas for use with SOHO routers use a reverse-SMA connector, the three D-Link routers I have here all use that connector.

will the d-link connectors on that site you posted connect to a coax cable?

You need to use the correct cable to put a matching connector on it. I still don't really know what you're trying to accomplish here...
