Lagging (Not network based to my knowledge)
First off I want to apologize in advance for not knowing exactly where to post this. I'm pretty sure that it's a Windows problem and not a network or hardware issue though.
So here's what's happening. On the internet my computer lags constantly, this has only happened after a windows repair. I've scanned for viruses and adware/spyware and all scans have come up dry. I used Kaspersky and Ad-Aware SE. I uninstalled and reinstalled my network card, and checked for driver updates. But with no avail. System Specs: Windows XP pro service pack 2 AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200 150gb Western Digital HD PC-Chips A11G motherboard 1.5gb 800 speed RAM Airplus G wireless card (D-Link) Other info: the network is sound, and no other computer on the network lags. It is a home network with 3 PCs connected, mine and one other being the only two on wireless. Running a ping check in command prompt yields results such as: Pinging www.l.google.com [64.233.167.104] with 32 bytes of data:I play a lot of online games, and I can't with the constant lag. I have a feeling that something is conflicting but I don't even know where to look. Please help. Thank you in advance for your help. |

Re: Lagging (Not network based to my knowledge)
Try the PING test booted in Save Mode with Networking, and see if you get faster response times.
