OS: windows xp media center home edition

Split the tv connection
My comp system is Windows Xp Media Center Home edition, which allows me to watch tvs just by connecting the tv source thing.
It works well till i have my internet set up. They works well independently, but when i connect the both to the output thro a splitter, i have problem connectin2 internet and tv works well.. need ur help plz , ty ![]()

The splitter is probably reducing the signal to the broadband modem below acceptable levels. You need to be running the modem directly from the first 2:1 splitter at the cable company's service entrance, then split all the TV's off the other side of that splitter. TV doesn't require the signal strength that broadband does.
Another issue is the quality of the splitter, for proper operation it should be a good quality 5-1000mhz splitter, if the bandwidth of the splitter is less on either end it can also cause issues with the broadband modem.
