Cry Weird error message

Hello,

Ok, this has got to be the weirdest error I have gotten on my pc yet, when I tried to connect to my computer today (yesterday was running fine) using dial up, it came up with the error message 775 call blocked by remote computer. This only happened after I chose the option at startup "Run most recent settings that worked" due to the fact my computer shutdown at random intervals, but sometimes was fine. So after I chose that option, it came up with error 775 for my dial up connection, I have tried everything to get it back up and running but the only way I could have fixed it was doing a system recovery back to about last week, and now some of my games dont work and the dial up is fine... so I know the modem itself is not harmed or changed in anyway (by the way it is an internal modem that I have) so im guessin its sumthing to do with a software change unkown to me.

But the weird thing is, even I rung up my ISP and did a whole bunch of complaining of why it isn't working, it even comes up with error 775 when I don't even have my cable/cord plugged into my computer!!! I am all out of options here, Please help me!

TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2.

Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following commands:

Note: Type only the text in bold for the following commands.

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults, type: netsh int ip reset reset.log

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults, type: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reboot the machine.


Let's see this after attempting to connect.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
