Okay,

I have a phone line in my room and a phone line downstairs with the internet all connected up on it.

I have got a new computer and i need to set up the internet on it, i have loads of cables and old hubs.

What do I do????

Was hoping for using ethernet connection as i am using the new pc mainly for gaming.

I have bt total broadband.

I have 2 more bt hubs and many more cables

Well, you need to run a cable from the BT broadband to your new computer location. You can use a hub there to split the connection for the current computer and the new one.

Ive ordered some Powerline Ethernet Filter things, where i plug them into any socket and they provide me with an ethernet connections throughout the house, works perfect

Your experience with these doesn't mirror mine, I tried two different brands and they sucked here!

Its probably due to my low spec broadband we get over here, so it can easily handle what it is giving out

I get same dl speeds, ping, etc.
