blank screen on IE7 + firefox [Moved from IE]

Howdy. I'm new here so sorry if this is in the wrong place/retarded.
For the past few days my internet has been screwing around with me. After booting my PC up, my internet (using either IE7 or firefox) works for a limited period of time, but very slowly. After 10mins or so, when i try viewing web pages i get a blank screen which sez 'done' in the bottom left corner. When i disocnnect my wireless card and reconnect it, it again works but only for a short time before the same problem occurs. I'm running win XP home, external wirless linksys card, netgear router (which works for every1 else in the house). I've run antivirus and spyware programs with no problems detected, and reinstalled my wireless card. As far as i can tell my net is configured correctly, and there have been no changes to my system which would bring this problem about. Please can some1 advise me on how to fix this problem or direct me to possible solutions.

I am going to move your thread to networking as I dont think this is a IE problem.

First off, does this happen if you connect using a wired connection? First thing to do is isolate if it's a wireless issue. Have you tried changing channels on the router?
