what error messages? what os? what version of zip? or are you using windows extract? also are you trying to unzip over the network? where are the zip files coming from.

we really need info to even begin helping you.

As other people have mentioned above, it really depends on the type of file you are trying to unzip and open, as well as the OS. Now since you have not mentioned what type of file (file extension) it is you are trying to open, I have to assume that, like most people you are probally using WINZIP, which does not support to many other types of ZIP or Compressed folder options. What I suggest is going to this link... http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm and downling the WinRar software, it has a WIDE, almost the widest varrity of compressed files, and will most likely help you and solve the problem for you.

If that doesnt cut it do a google for warez extractor, if that doesnt
work nothing will.

And make sure that the compressed file you downloaded is not corrupted. Otherwise you might want to redownload the compressed file again using any download manager such as Internet Download Manager
