Problem with Netgear wireless desktop adapter
Hello,
I am sure this is probably something simple. I have a Netgear Wireless-N desktop adapter, using Windows XP Pro. Sometimes, not always, the unit will be off on log-on. I have to "repair" the connection. This usually occurs only after we have not been logged on for an extended period of time, can also occur when we change users, but not always. The weird thing is that even rebooting doesn't solve the problem. If there is a connection with the router and I reboot I will still have connection after I reboot. If there is no connection when I reboot there will be no connection after reboot. It is as if the desktop card turns itself off automatically. I do not know how to set this thig up so that it comes on automatically with start up. Any suggestions? |

Re: Problem with Netgear wireless desktop adapter
I'd start in the power settings for the adapter in Device Manager. Make sure all the power saving options are disabled.
