2 Way Trust between NT and 2003 (AD) Domains
I have been searching the web trying to figure this out and have not been able to find anything concrete. My company is setting up a new AD domain using Windows 2003 Server, which for a variety of reasons will run (at least for awhile) concurrently with our current NT 4.0 SP6a domain. The 2 domains will need to share resources, so I have established and validated a 2 way trust between the 2 domains.
The NT domain can access resources in the 2003 domain without any problems, but the 2003 domain cannot access resources in the NT domain. I have added the Global group from the 2003 domain to a local group in the NT domain, and assigned the proper file and share permissions to this local group, but whenever I try to open a shared folder on the NT domain from a machine in the 2003 domain I get an "Access Denied" message. I know that I am probably missing something obvious here, but any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! mgriffin Last edited by mgriffin : 11-04-2004 at 05:27 AM. |
