Router problems
Ive got 2 problems. 1) When typing 192.168.1.1 into the address bar im not able to connect to my router. Been through cmd ipconfig/all and it is for sure 192.
2) The linksys router also doubles as wireless. I've lost the SSID number and password. Is there anyway to retrieve that or do i need to reset the router? |

Re: Router problems
For problem two, you can directl connect to the router with an eithernet cable and if you know the password to get in there you can change all of that. The SSID will just be the name that shows up when you ry to connect to a router from your computer.
Also 192.168.1.1 is the deafult number. it can be 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.252 (i forgot the last numbe possible) or something like that i think If you do not know that and then if you do not know the password to access the router then you need to do a rest. |

Re: Router problems
I normally put the password, SSID, and encryption key on a label on the bottom of the router when I install. If someone has physical access to the router, your security is out the window anyway.

Re: Router problems
Are you actually trying to block some of those people from access when they have physical access to the router? Let me tell you about Security 101.
