General Networking Question
What's the difference between a dynamic IP vs a static IP? Also, if you could tell me how I find out if it's a PPPoE that would be appreciated. I want to connect to the DSL router at my parent's house using wireless. I have one of those bare bones mini laptops. Its called an Asus EeePc.

Re: General Networking Question
A dynamic public IP address changes at the whim of the ISP. A static IP address is assigned to the account and remains the same.
As far as wireless connections, what is the make/model of the DSL modem? Your Asus Eee will connect to any standard wireless 802.11g environment.
