xbox 360 used as DVD player making Buzzing noise through HDMI cable

I am using my Xbox 360 as my dvd player for now as well as playing it through my projector. When I connect my HDMI cable to the xbox, it starts a loud buzzing noise. I have disconnected the cable to test my audio cables running through my reciever and those are fine. It is only when the HDMI cable is directly plugged into the XBOX. Any thoughts on what could be causing this? Not sure if there is a problem with the hdmi connection on the back the 360 or not? I have connected the hdmi cable directly into my cable box and I do not get the buzz which tells me it probably is the 360. Any thoughts??

Sounds like the XBOX, but it's hard to know remotely. Have you plugged the XBOX into the same outlet as the projector to eliminate power grounding issues?
