[SOLVED] Laptop won't connect via lan
Toshiba Laptop running xp sp2. It will connect to the internet if I use a speedtouch usb modem however won't connect via lan and my netgear modem router either wireless or ethernet. The laptop is connecting to the router just not to the web.
I have three other computers (1 desktop 2 laptops) that connect with no problem. If I try to repair the connection I get the following message The following steps of the repair failed - renewing of IP address Purging and reloading the remote cache name table of NetBT Sending Name Release packets to WINS and then starting Refresh I can renew the ip address via c prompt but makes no difference. Anyone any ideas? |

Re: Laptop won't connect via lan
Thanks for the feedback. I'd install SP2 on that second computer, which is why the command wasn't found.
