[SOLVED] moved 327w router now wirless laptop does not work

I moved my Westell 327w across my family room I have a desktop hard wired and an hp laptop with a built in wireless card and I have the router secure with WEP. The desktop and laptop were working fine before I moved the router across the room and now the laptop will not pick up the wireless signal from the router as if it isn't even there but the laptop will pick up my neighbors unsecure router. I surely would appreciate anyone that can assist me with this problem.

Is this Westell also your DSL modem? Do you have filters on all the phones in your house? Because in many cases this can be caused when ISP's run DSL into your house' either they will run it into one or two phone jacks or just flood your whole house with the signal. If you have filters on all your phones the move should be ok but if not the chances are you need to take it back to the original jack.

Well, since one machine works and gets a connection, this clearly doesn't seem to be a problem with the filters or the Internet connection.

Does the laptop connect using a wired connection?

yes the laptop connects using a wired connection and it also picks up the
wireless signal from my neighbor.

I'd reset the router to factory defaults and reconfigure. That's about all that makes sense here.

I'm new at this stuff and I don't mean to sound like an idiot but can you give me a clue on how to reset the router to factory defaults and reconfigure, I would surely appreciate that.

If that doesn't work, hold the reset button at the rear for 15 seconds with power on, then give the router a couple of minutes to recover.

I was so excited to get my wireless working again I forgot to send you a reply. I did reset the router and I asked someone to help me reconfigure it and, bingo! the wireless router was up and running now I got my desktop and two laptops all gone wireless and I can place them anywhere in my house. Thank you very much! I do appreciate it.
