problems w/ d-link wireless print server setup
Hi,
I just bought a D-Link rangebooster G Print Server (DPR-1260) to enable wireless printing on my network. I followed the setup instructions, matching the network setup keys to the settings of my router. I can see the printer and it all works fine when the laptop is connected via ethernet cable. Once I try to go wireless the printer disappears. A similar problem was described on the following post: http://reviews.cnet.com/print-server...6100&tag=uolst but I couldn't quite follow his solution. Any ideas? Vital stats: Thinkpad T41 running Windows XP service pack 2 network wireless router is D-Link Extreme N Wireless Router (DIR-655), setup w/ WEP encryption Printer is a new HP OfficeJet 6310, works fine w/ ethernet or USB connection. And, apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but I think its more of a networking issue than a printer problem. thanks. |

Re: problems w/ d-link wireless print server setup
Does it work with no encryption? FWIW, I'd be using WPA since WEP is not really that secure.
