Cry No internet access

I today set up a network in someones home. When I left everything was fine, they had internet access on both the desktop PC (via ethernet cable) and laptop (wireless).

However I have just received a call from them, saying the internet access no longer works on the laptop. Why would this be? I have come accross this problem before, setting up a network which works 1 minute and not a few hours later, and its really annoying me :(

Please help.

Both systems are using XP and the router is a D-Link. The provider is NTL (cable company) and the router and documentation was supplied by them.

The woman has phoned NTL but they are not being very helpful, neither are d-link, whom I phoned and their response was "its a laptop problem".

HELP ME!!!

Disable encryption on the router and see if you can connect that way. If not, try a cable connection to the router to see if it works with networking at all.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

Type the following two commands:

NBTSTAT -n

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
